Welcome!

The Mid States Stock Dog Association was formed in 1986 to help promote cattle and sheep trials and to teach and demonstrate the usefulness of stock dogs to farmers and ranchers.

Mid States goals are 1. to develop the native ability and physical prowess of herding dogs, 2. to engage in and encourage participation in clinics, seminars and trials, 3. to hold and support educational opportunities to assist stock owners in having useful working farm dogs, 4. to carry out an educational program for the public that will advance the understanding of the herding dog, 5. to support other organizations with which the Association has mutual interest, such as FFA and 4-H clubs, and 6. to protect and advance the interest of the herding dog and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at trials.
